ALEBIOSU, AFOLABI TAJUDEEN
Mr. Alebiosu is a seasoned academic, and administrator. He works at Ronik Polytechnic, Ejigbo as head of General Studies department and director for part time programmes.
He attended Ajassepo High School in Kwara State and proceeded to the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for his N C E and B.Ed. Language Arts in English with second class upper division. He obtained a Master degree in English Language from University of Ilorin.
Alebiosu has over twenty years tertiary education experience from Kwara State College of Education, Oro, lecturing students of the sandwich programme of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He did a stint as the Administration Manager with Academy Press Plc, Ilupeju-Lagos. He also featured as a resource person for PEI Educational, a management training outfit with certification in United Kingdom. He is a course writer and resource person in the English degree programmes of National Open University of Nigeria. He is also a consulting editor to Anabel group of companies associated with Empower Nigeria.
By way of publications, Alebiosu’s output is very impressive. He has a national publication to his credit titled: GENERAL STUDIES FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS; apart from several journal articles. His areas of coverage are reflected in topics on Language Education, African Linguistics and English Linguistics. He is a specialist in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Semantics and sociolinguistics.
Alebiosu is a member of many reputable professional bodies like Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN), National Association of Teachers of English in Colleges and Polytechnics (NATECEP) and Institute of Management Consultants (IMC).
Alebiosu has also served as a volunteer teacher with the Lagos State government under the World Bank Eko Project. The initiative is to assist in raising the perceived falling standard of education among our youths.
He is an omnivorous reader who shares and receives ideas readily. He is quietly married with children.
