The Board of Directors of the School decided to give the School a lift to be able to award National Certificates in 1999. The National Board for Technical Education visited the Institution in February 2001. As a result of the visit, approval was given to Ronik Polytechnic in December 2003 to commence operations as a private Institution starting with three departments viz Accountancy, Business Administration & Management and Computer Science including General Studies Department at the National Diploma level and General Studies as a service department. 

These programmes were fully accredited by the National Board For Technical Education with effect from 1st October 2005. The Board visited the Institution again from 13th to 16th June, 2008 for the purpose of resource inspection with a view to commencing National Diploma programme in Electrical /Electronic Engineering.
